Village Hall

Pettistree Village Hall is situated on the northern outskirts of the village in Walnuts Lane. It was built in 1928 after ten years of fund raising by the Women's Institute.

The Hall is situated in a conservation area and it has retained its original hut-like exterior of galvanised cladding. By 1992 maintenance was becoming too costly so the WI offered the building to the village for community use. After much fund raising from activities and grants the Hall was refurbished internally with a new fitted kitchen and ladies and toilets all with disabled facilities. A further addition has recently been built which allows a more flexible use of the main hall. This provides a storage area, the possibility of a bar, or a space for live music as well as a place for refreshments. We've had many helpers to raise funds and refit the building.

The Hall has charitable status and is looked after by a Management Committee. It can be hired for private functions and is used for annually for a Burns Night dinner and by a number of daytime classes.
